چکیده
Abstract Background: Retinal G protein-coupled receptor (RGR), a photosensitive protein, serves retinal photoisomerase function under light condition in the human eyes. Recently, we found that RGR is highly expressed squamous cell carcinoma (SCC),which suggested photoreceptor may be associated with SCC tumorigenesis. However, cutaneous SCC, expression and of remain uncharacterized. Herein, performed analysis actinic keratosis (AK), Bowen's disease (BD) invasive skin. Objects Methods: In all, 237 samples normal skin (NS, n=28), AK (n=42), BD (n=35) (n=132) were tested for by immunohistochemistry RNAscope methods. Furthermore, evaluated associations clinic-pathological features. Also, PCNA, Ki67 involucrin examined to assess correlation between proliferation or aberrant differentiation using multiimmunofluorescence assays. Results: Invasive contrast NS, BD, had higher protein (p<0.0001). High score was presence increased tumor size, depth, Clark level, classification risk factors, degree as well histologic subtype (p=0.005, p=0.021, p=0.002, p=0.005, p=0.001, respectively). Additionally, inversely correlated (differentiation marker) expression, while it positively Proliferating nuclear antigen (PCNA), suggesting high reduced SCC. Conclusions: significantly tumorigenesis aggressive biology through regulating balance differentiation.

Immunohistochemical expression of CD10 in cutaneous basal and squamous cell carcinomas
Background: Non-melanoma skin cancer is the most common malignant tumor in humans. The role of ultraviolet radiation is well-known in the pathogenesis of basal cell carcinoma (BCC) and squamous cell carcinoma (SCC). CD10 is a zinc-dependent metallopeptidase known as common acute lymphoblastic leukemia antigen (CALLA). Although CD10 expression has been investigated in some cutaneous tu...
متن کاملValue of CD10 Expression in Differentiating Cutaneous Basal from Squamous Cell Carcinomas and Basal Cell Carcinoma from Trichoepithelioma
Background: In addition to the well-defined histological criteria for squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and basal cell carcinoma (BCC), immunohistochemical techniques can be used in difficult cases for their differentiation. As differential diagnosis between trichoepithelioma (TE) and BCC is sometimes difficult for the clinician and the pathologist, CD10 may be a useful marker for definite diagnosi...
متن کاملComparative evaluation of the frequency of myofibroblasts between oral and cutaneous squamous cell carcinomas
Introduction: Differentiation of fibroblasts to myofibroblasts is an initial and very important event in tumor genesis. Myofibroblasts produce proteinases that stimulate invasion in cancers. Due to the more malignant potential of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) compared to cutaneous squamous cell carcinoma (CSCC) , the aim of the present study was to compare myofibroblasts between OSCC and ...
متن کاملCyclin D1 expression is correlated with cell differentiation and cell proliferation in oral squamous cell carcinomas
The present study conducted an immunohistochemical investigation of cyclin D1 and Ki-67 expression in oral squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) to evaluate the correlations between cell differentiation, cell proliferation and metastasis, and the effect of anticancer drug medication and cyclin D1 expression. Cyclin D1 and Ki-67 were detected clearly in the nuclei of 35 SCC samples. No correlation betwe...
متن کاملP53 and Ki67 protein expression in ocular squamous cell carcinomas of dairy cattle
Role of the protein overexpression is very important in the pathogenesis, diagnosis and prognosis of neoplasia. Cases of overexpression of p53 and Ki67 proteins were investigated in 19 ocular squamous cell carcinomas (OSCC) in dairy cows. Microscopically, insix cases the tumors were carcinoma in situ (noninvasive carcinoma, G0), and in the remaining 13 cases the tumors were invasive carcinoma. ...
